Health and Social Care Wellbeing Inter-professional Education

Journal History

The journal's Latin title is inspired partly by scholarly tradition but mostly by the the happy conjunction of "Communication" and "Care" and the importance of their excellent application to patients, carers and practitioners.

The original idea for a journal was borne out of discussions between academic colleagues in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at RGU. It evolved through further involvement of University Library colleagues at RGU and Edinbugh University Library and their awareness and promotion of open access journal initiatives, including PKP and OJS.

Throughout its gestation the scope has changed and evolved to the point where there are no strict boundaries with regard to content other than to be committed to communication of excellence in all care settings, publishing research and reflection from practitioners and students.
