Focus and Scope

Communicare is a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing original articles and research by people from the RGU community on topics of interest to patients, carers, students, educators and practitioners working within the caring professions, social work and social sciences. Communicare is dedicated to building a strong reputation by providing an opportunity for scholars to participate in the academic publishing process and contribute to developing and challenging the theoretical and practical knowledge of its contributors and readers.

The editors would particularly welcome contributions that address such themes as ethics, health and social policy, integrated health care, law and society, professional identity, fitness to practice and competence. In addition the editors encourage authors to think creatively around the theme "transitions". For this theme, article contributors might consider transitions from student to practitioner, from school pupil to student, but also the signifcant transitions between stages or elements of an academic course, or between different professional roles.

Sponsored by RGU Faculty of Heath and Social Care and RGU Library, the journal has its editorial home at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland.
